Social media is allowing businesses to talk to their customers on a one-to-one basis and really get to understand what it is the customer wants. Not only can it improve customer services, it can assist with R & D, product development and most importantly can help increase sales. Now isn’t that something every business needs?
Social media is just one of the areas within Digital and New Media, there are many other tools such as blogs, podcasts, webinars, etc which can work for a range of sectors, including charities, for profit, not for profit and the public sector.
